I apologize with my frustration on a specific issue with the current college situation.

College works in 2019 for certain professions and financial situations but it’s become increasingly a bad deal for millions of people.

If you are taking on #debt to go to college for a degree in a non top 50 school and you’re looking for a career to “pay you back” within the first decade with all your costs after school, you’re in trouble.

Do you know how many kids have to take on debt to allow their parents to feel good about their kid going to school?

Do you know how many kids take on debt because they are sold that college is maybe not great for the education or getting a job but it’s great socially and you really grow at school? What kind of insanity is that? You can grow traveling or going to a town with a lot of youth or action like NYC, the fact that “it’s good socially” is now what many rely on to justify it is laughable.

Listen if you want to work at Goldman Sachs or Bain or be a lawyer or Doctor or many other things and it’s your passion and you’re lucky enough to have your parents or a scholarship pay for it, go enjoy and I’m so pumped for you.

But it’s time we eliminate this farce that #college is an American dream and works for everyone. Nothing works for everyone and in 2019 it’s starting to be a situation where it’s not working for most! - @garyvee
